@JustinPenik I think it’s a bad comparison. A WR has to start every play either on the line of scrimmage or behind. He can’t just station 30 yards downfield before the snap.
@CoachHerbertDa1 I like to spill with anyone lining up with his hands on the ground. The technique and footwork pairs up a lot better with squeezing a veer release/down block by the OT.
In Italy restaurants don't have outdoors fans during the Summer because 75% of the population believes that being unexpectedly hit by moving air will cause you to die instantly from "colpa d'aria"
The objectively correct position on the US vs. Europe debate with respect to AC is that the European hostility toward AC is completely irrational and motivated by degrowth-adjacent bullshit, but Americans need to learn that you don't have to crank up AC so much that you freeze your balls off in the middle of summer and that drinking at a terrace is more pleasant than staying inside when the weather is beautiful outside even if it's a bit hot.
Will FIFA come out to explain why this wasn’t a penalty? There’s an entire VAR team being paid to review incidents like this, were they asleep? Funny how these calls always seem to go against the smaller sides.
Most of my friends in Paris/London have a distorted view of the US, and sometimes a weird superiority complex.
They think only the top 1% lives well and everyone else is trapped in social collapse (guns, healthcare horror stories, obesity, politics, LA homelessness, NYC dysfunction).
Then they visit random suburbs in Texas, Florida or the Midwest and see middle-class families clearing $300k+/year with huge houses, multiple cars, space, AC, full restaurants, youth sports complexes and mass retail abundance.
The uncomfortable reality is that a lot of “ordinary” Americans live materially better than European elites.
Idk if it's media manipulation, denial of reality or straight ignorance, but we’re getting underclassed and most people only realize it when they land there.
HS Coaches, please stop teaching and having these athletes play techniques that do not translate to the next level.
I promise your athletes can get the techniques down. Always gotta ask ourselves what can I do better as a teacher, rather than forcing the athlete to play a non-transferable technique.
@coach_corcoran Funny thing, I almost never wear any kind of of hat or visor outside of football. It absolutely makes zero sense to wear it at a night game. But…it’s kinda of a habit now. I don’t know, I like the feeling of it
@coach_corcoran Haha do tell! I picked up the visor thing recently. Not sure why. I kinda like it. I take it off and put it back on constantly as stress relief
@landondonovan@united In ‘23 we see flying from Newark to CLT on 4/7 weekend. Flight was in overbooking, and I offered to sell my infant’s ticket. They gladly took it and promised me a voucher. Next day I called and was told I didn’t have right to it.
