Yesterday's midterm elections remind me of 1982 instead of the wave elections in 1994, 2006, 2008 and 2010. Reagan and the GOP lost 27 seats in the House, no Senators and seven governors (just like this year). Of course, Reagan won reelection in a landslide two years later.

Best news for the Democrats in Virginia is picking up at least 14 state legislators in districts designed by Republicans for Republicans. This is exactly where they need to start rebuilding.
