On 23.09.2023, based on passenger profiling the Customs officers of Air Intelligence Unit, Dabolim Airport intercepted a female Indian national who arrived at Dabolim Airport, Goa from Dubai via Muscat by Oman Air flight no. WY 209. (1/3)

The personal search of the female passenger resulted in recovery of four capsules containing gold in paste form totally weighing 857 grams (739 grams after extraction), concealed in her hairband. Market value of the seized gold is

North-eastern States have been the biggest beneficiaries of GST, recording a compound annual GST revenue growth rate of 27.5% since the implementation of the GST (2017-18 to 2022-23) as against 14.8% for all states.

So, that additional gain which is coming through GST is definitely a boon for the North-eastern states which need revenue for implementing different programmes.
