पुलिस विभाग के पू��्व ADG ने कहा है कि हाथरस जैसे गंभीर मामले में पुलिस संवेदनशील नहीं थी।

अगर पुलिस ने सबूतों को समय पर इकट्ठा किया होता, तो अपराधियों को सजा मिल सकती थी। इसी चूक के कारण अपराधी रिहा कर दिए गए।

हाथरस मामले पर बनी डॉक्यूमेंट्री में गा��निकोलॉजिस्ट ने बताया है कि बच्ची को लाने से पहले सबूत मिटाए गए और बच्ची को नहला कर साफ कर दिया गया।

बच्ची ने मरने से पहले बताया कि उसके साथ जबरदस्ती हुई है मगर उसके बयान को भी consider नहीं किया गया।

घटना के 8 दिन बाद सबूत जुटाए गए, पुलिस ने केस को कमजोर किया ताकि सभी आरोपी बच सकें।
