Dating got so confusing, we started mistaking attention for affection.
Someone can text you all day, call you every night, and still not give a damn about you.
Attention is easy. Consistency is rare.
The real green flag?
Someone who still shows up when there’s nothing to gain. 🫠
Lol here we go again. This same Angel Reese had Jalen Duren spending $600K a week on her and thought nobody would talk. Same vacations. Same stories. Then she moved on to Wendell Carter Jr. and started posting Carter dunking on Duren like it was content.
Now she’s acting brand new. “That boy was never my boyfriend.” After the whole league already ran with it.
This is the same Angel who stays in every headline pay fights, fake quotes, Sky drama, now Atlanta. Private until the camera’s on. Then it’s everybody else’s fault the story got out.
You don’t drop that kind of money and disappear from the plot. The internet didn’t invent the timeline. She did.
Last week, my 21 year old cousin came over.
She sat on the edge of the couch for almost ten minutes, knees pressed together, fingers picking at the fabric of her jeans.
Finally, she looked up.
“I need to tell you something… personal.”
I put my phone down.
“Okay. What is it?”
She took a long breath.
“I’m a lesbian.”
I looked at her and said:
“Congratulations. I always knew.”
She broke down.
Not because I had said something wrong.
Because she had apparently spent years preparing herself for the possibility that I would.
Steve Rogers knew exactly what would happen if he refused to sign the Sokovia Accords.
He knew the Avengers could split. He knew Tony would take the opposite position. And he knew refusing could eventually put him against his own teammates.
But he still couldn't agree to give someone else control over when they were allowed to act.
The interesting part is that Tony wasn't completely wrong either. After everything that happened in New York, Washington, Sokovia and Lagos, somebody had to answer for the Avengers' decisions.
So was the real problem that Steve and Tony wanted different things, or that neither of them was willing to compromise on what they believed was right?
Those were the days.
