Forget the basement dwellers, #Supergirl was a damn entertaining flick, with a great lead. Kinda feels like the old Phase 1 flicks - good on its own but clearly leading to something greater.
There’s a BIG difference, in my mind, between using the White House lawn to host celebrations for marginalized groups, and putting on a commercial spectacle like hosting a UFC event on the president’s birthday.
IMO, the problem with the whole UFC / White House thing (and using monuments as backdrops for pressers, etc) isn’t so much the “sanctity of the office”, but moreso that it’s clearly a money making scheme. Hell, the fighters are getting bonuses paid in Trump crypto coin!
The He-Man movie was so, so dumb…but also really fun. I think they should have leaned even harder into the camp, and my God did parts of that flick drag, but I actually enjoyed it!
On the food front, I made an interesting discovery - the “Lemon Bar” goat cheese from the HEB? Tastes dangerously close to the Limoncello Cheesecake we get occasionally at work. I’m trying to make healthy choices, but…oh god. Lol.
I of course waited for them to both leave and clear the area before emerging and calling for exfil, but these are the kinds of tense social interactions I find fascinating in the game. Stuff outside of any scripted narrative; total human element.
Arc. Solos, PvE Lobby. Hear random shouting and arguing about some dude being sus and ‘accidentally’ third partying during a fight. The dudes hash it out and head towards exfil. I’m in a nearby room, quietly looting. While waiting to exfil, they chat about some other players…
Exfil arrives, and I get ready to head out, then I hear the one dude, in a thick accent, ask the other, “Tell me, my friend, would you like to kill them?”… I stop. Listen to exfil leave while the two stand there, the one trying to convince the other to turn PvP…
Disappointed Htown missed on some tours this year but, the 2nd half seems to be looking pretty solid for live music. Stoked to see some recent favs like Catbite & Bad Op, along with ‘legacy’ acts like Toasters, Streetlight & Suicide Machines. Plus we get HOT WATER MUSIC !
Sucks to see them leave, but the freaking New Day are free agents now? Like, we can see them do some cool international stuff or join an Elite roster of stacked tag teams?
I mean, he’s NOT wrong…well in terms of them being drastically different communities. Marathon is fast, unyielding, and the shooting is clearly the focus (it’s Bungie, so the gunplay is obviously great). Arc Raiders is decidedly slower paced, deliberate, and PVE focused.
According to the local youth (in my house) Arc Raiders is an ‘old man’ game because its’s, ‘just a bunch of old dudes being chill’. Marathon, on the other hand, is where the cool kids are at - PVP focused, fast paced, brutality….
I like em both, honestly.
Santa Claus? He’s a person (or elf) who is magic and talks to animals. A giant rabbit, hiding harboiled eggs and leaving candy and micro machines? That apparently where my 5yr old brain drew the line, lol
The idea of a literal Easter Bunny is borderline nightmare fuel, at best. Strangely enough, as a kid, I NEVER envisioned a bunny giving eggs. For whatever reason, in my head, it was a little old lady in a purple shirt that everyone called ‘Easter Bunny’. À la this AI image..
I have ZERO idea why this is what I imagined as ‘the Easter Bunny’…just that this was, indeed, how I pictured the Easter bunny. That, or I thought there was a chance that the Easter Bunny was just Jesus. Like, he resurrected to give chocolate eggs.
