An Israeli "observer delegation" was kicked out of the ⁦@_AfricanUnion⁩ summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Israeli were escorted out by security guards during the opening ceremony.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry is blaming South Africa and Algeria for getting Israel kicked out.

However, with all due respect, Israel is not an African nation, what gives it a right to "observer" an African summit? African sovereignty must be respected. The colonial era is long gone.

The African Union should also remove the United States and European delegates from having "observer status" in African Union summits. Last we checked, Africa does not have an observer status in America or the E.U.
