@MyPhoenixFTA @MollyMEP Em...presumably European...French, German, Italian, Spanish, a variety of Slavic languages, Luxembourg and Swiss dialects perhaps? And more of course. Greek. Portugese. The lot basically. There's 27 of them. They have translators in EP.

#DavidAttenborough is back on our screens tonight with #ClimateChangeTheFacts. Could it have the same galvanising effect as #BluePlanet?
RT if you'll be watching this important programme!
Very pleased to see (now we have the final report) that the Aarons Hill green field on the GBC side WILL NOT be allocated in their plan. If only Waverley had some fight in them...@GodalmingCommu1
Yes - shame on you Surrey CC! With global protests by youngsters globally, Surrey CC in its current form still thinks it appropriate to make no time commitment to carbon neutrality. It may already be too late! Speechless!
The amended motion that doesn’t set a target or commitment was voted through 49 for, 10 against and 3 abstentions. Campaigners in the public gallery were not happy and shouted “shame on you” to the councillors.
@LDRSurrey Presumably this is cutting budgets for existing issues, and there is no budget at all for prevention and awareness campaigns? Sounds like a downwards spiral.
Waverley Borough Council is urging residents to make sure they are properly registered to vote in the forthcoming local elections, which take place on Thursday 2 May 2019.

We’re calling for a bit of help from young people! We need some info from you to understand how to improve the activities we offer. Just a really quick survey, won’t take long! https://t.co/81mYxwdrid
I am a great believer that the more residents know about local government - the better they can hold councillors to account.
I myself am a member of Godalming Town and Waverley Borough Council - please see pt 1 of my ‘How does the council work’ infographic : Godalming Town C.
@ActivistUkog @flexiparkins @WaverleyBC So after the usual rhetoric in favour of oil exploration - is there publicly available information and environmental assessments of the sites already in operation? Before and after the start of operations preferably, just to validate your point? We thank you in advance.
UK Oil&Gas (UKOG) are proposing to drill an exploratory well near Dunsfold-they identified 'hydrocarbon resources'.
They claim this is not fracking but it sounds similar. This will industrialise the rural area and cause significant harm to the environment. @WaverleyBC
@Adrianwfire@Anton13579@PaulDFollows@WaverleyBC Why are there no ecology reports for the public to see? Shouldn't there be in order for the claim 'no environmental impact' to be valid? What happened to transparency with the public AND investors? How much is at stake? Maybe we are not the ones in the attack mode?
@Adrianwfire@PaulDFollows@WaverleyBC No it is not. Investment in green energy is the best alternative if we want Homo Sapiens to exist in 2100. There is very little if no justification for investment in new oil exploration sites. As for the production site underground - that's a story for little children.
