TikToker tells her Nigerian Dad that she’s going to be a Lawyer after getting accepted into Law School and he instantly started saying “all my enemies are going to be in trouble” 🤣❤️
My coworker is divorcing her husband of TWENTY TWO YEARS after finding out he cheated on her for almost three months and everyone keeps asking her if she’s going to throw away their life together bc of three months and she always replies with “I didn’t throw away the life, he did” PREACH BABY PREACH.
We gotta be honest about what’s happening. Dating culture right now rewards detachment, not effort. Everybody’s guarded, everybody got trauma, everybody moving like love is a liability instead of a risk worth taking. Social media also sold this idea that settling down equals settling, so people chase perfection and miss real connection. On top of that, men and women are talking past each other instead of to each other. Expectations high, patience low, communication shaky. So yeah, more people are single, but not always because they want to be. Sometimes it’s fear dressed up as independence. And until we learn how to be emotionally available without losing ourselves, these numbers gonna keep climbing.
A working husband comes home to rest, while a working wife comes home to start her second shift. The problem isn’t women’s independence, it’s men’s dependence.
