In terms of KAIJU, it works the same way.

A benefit of holding Kaiju is that the currency accrues conversion fees. When users convert from Kaiju to tBTC, ETH, USDT, VRSC(or vice versa) they pay a conversion fee of 0.025%.

When users convert between VRSC, tBTC, ETH, or USDT they pay a conversion fee of 0.05%.

Half of those conversion fees (50%) stay in the Kaiju reserves, increasing the value of Kaiju since no new Kaiju is minted. The conversions are MEV-resistant and verified by the miners and stakers of the protocol.
