NIGERIA–US MILITARY ALLIANCE: COAS ADVOCATES DEEPENED STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENT
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has called for the deepening of strategic cooperation between the Nigerian Army (NA) and the United States Army in order to effectively respond to Nigeria’s evolving and multifaceted security challenges. The COAS made the call on Wednesday, 14 January 2026, when the United States Defence Attaché to Nigeria, Lieutenant Colonel Semira Moore, paid him a courtesy visit at the Army Headquarters, Abuja.
Lieutenant General Shaibu commended the Government of the United States for its enduring partnership and sustained support to the Nigerian Army. @ZelenskyyUa To concede its territorial sovereignty or parts of it to Russia, Ukraine Doesn’t need Trump at all. Ukraine can enter into direct bilateral talks with Russia to concede territory and end the war. If Trump is pretending to play middle man for Ukrainian LOSS, then to hell with him
@realDonaldTrump Denigrating and belittling the Ukrainian President portrays you as the Bully in Chief. You mocked his clothing, called him names, treated him and Ukrainian people as if they’re already defeated refugees. And you want Ukraine’s rare earth minerals for free? You’re horrible!
@ZelenskyyUa Yes American weapons helped but it’s Ukrainian people that are fighting the war. Trump and Vance never had to lead a nation at war for 3 years. They are NOT war-time leaders. They are NOT like you and are ignorant men who don’t see the future. Don’t bow to them 💪🏾🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇸💪🏾
