Thank you for everyone’s support and re-electing me as your Mayor.
It’s been a big team effort, thank you to everyone who’s given up their time to help.
Looking forward to working for everyone in Lewisham! 🌹
Sad, but not surprised, to see Catford South branch in Lewisham East vote down a motion last night that would have supported renters during these difficult times.
How long will parts of the Party, locally + nationally, continue to turn a blind eye to the current housing crisis?

Solidarity with cleaners at @GoldsmithsUoL who are forced to come into work despite all face-to-face teaching being suspended.
Students were asked NOT to return to their term time addresses and future face-to-face teaching is under review because of high COVID-19 levels.

Amazon's work practices see our members break bones, fall unconscious and have to be taken away in ambulances.
Enough is enough.
It's time the Government held a parliamentary inquiry into Amazon’s activities.

The minimum wage is just £8.72 and it is estimated 21% of workers are paid less than a real living wage
Yet it's reported the Chancellor will row back on plans for a rise in the minimum wage
Instead he must commit to raise the minimum wage to a real living wage
#SpendingReview
Workers on the national minimum wage – not least the two million who are key workers – have been let down by the government’s decision to row back on the full planned rise they were promised.

We fully support the @YoungLabourUK National Committee’s statement below 👇 and condemn the attack on the democratic expression of young members from party officials.
Well done to our members in New Cross and Ladywell wards in Lewisham Deptford for submitting, and passing a motion on no confidence in Keir Starmer and David Evans.
Grassroots members will not be silenced by tyrannical leadership at the top of the Party - not now, not ever!
🌹Keir Starmer's attack on the democratic voice of Young Labour for expressing solidarity with Jeremy Corbyn is unacceptable.
🤝 We must stand up for the right of young members to be heard.
📣 Submit this emergency motion to your branch/CLP and SHARE!

We often get requests for help and advice with setting up Young Labour groups so we've created a guide which is by no means exhaustive but will hopefully provide key information. If you have any questions drop us a dm or email

Thousands of young people were inspired to join & support our movement by @jeremycorbyn, in a world with few politicians like him.
The removal of the whip despite the lifting of Jeremy's suspension is a betrayal of them & blatant factional interference in disciplinary matters.
On #TransDayOfRemembrance we reflect on the painful loss of so many trans people and pledge in honour of their memory, to build a world where they are free.
2020 has been a year of U-turns on GRA reforms, growing attacks on trans people and increased isolation & homelessness
Over eight months into this pandemic and statutory sick pay in the UK is still just £95.85 per week - and 2 million don’t earn enough to qualify.
How can people be expected to self-isolate on that?
We need #SickPayForAll that meets the cost of living.
