Last weekend, One oyinbo colleague of mine at work invited me to his wedding ceremony

At the wedding venue, we were just eight that attended

The bride, The bridegroom and six others invitee

At KFC restaurant, we bought chicken & chips

I paid for mine, they pay for theirs. We chat, laugh and took photo and everyone departed

This morning, I saw the best man (the one on my left side) I told him in my country, whenever someone is doing marriage. The bridegroom and family must kïll a cow

Cook Large quantity of Fried rice
Cook large quantity of our local foods
Plenty juice and drinks

That people will eat and drink for free

That people will not bring money to eat

That it is an abomination for people to pay money to eat on your wedding day

That you will be a laughing stock if you ask people to bring money while coming for your marriage

That even the bride and bridegroom will be sprayed money while you dance

Then, the young man replied and quote "What da f**k! People must be crazy over there..."

I told him people are not crazy, but that is peoples culture. Just as you are shocked now, na so our people will be shocked when you sent me I/V telling me to bring £20 along.

My husband wants to buy a shop for me.

Initially, the shop was 2 million naira, but all of a sudden, they increased the price to 3 million.

The painful part is that the shop is not even that big, it’s just a small shop.

Now, there is also a house around our area they want to sell for 4million naira. The house has 5 rooms, and honestly, I’m thinking it might be a better investment for us in the future.
