Example:
You had 25 XRP
You had 4 trustlines

OLD

- wallet reserve: 10 XRP
- trust lines: 4x 2 XRP = 8 XRP
> Reserved 18
> Spendable: 25-18= 7 XRP

NEW

- wallet reserve: 1 XRP
- trust lines: 4x 0.2 XRP = 0.8 XRP
> Reserved 1.8 XRP
> Spendable: 25-1.8= 23.2 XRP

So: nothing is taken from you. Nothing has to be claimed back. You can simply spend a greater part of your total holdings. The ledger adjusted this automatically, and it's up to clients to reflect it. @XamanWallet automatically does.
