@Runaway_Hylian //; that's the BIG difference between Ravii and Raviigon for sure....
((Naeva: oh I wouldn't know if I've spoken to a god...
Raviigon:
))
I have a feeling the spirits wouldn't like it too much, would they?"
Rav hummed a little, smirking all the while. May as well amuse her while on the topic. ;;

I submit my soul to the disaster of loving you, @THEFALSEKlNG β-
"I've always loved music, just never had the time to practice it..."
Rav glances at her, clearing his throat.
Ah... hopefully she meant the secret outings when he travels to here. If not, well...
He spoke again, "I could practice here, but I don't want to disturb the peace. +
her voice hinges on a bit mischevious, now, though still quiet.
β β¦. when you have some spare time. like with your secret outings.β
@deathspaintress //; ahh okay. That makes sense then.
I just think it's funny to be honest.
//; do you think the spirits would tattle on Rav about his secrets. And Kari would just wait until he is comfortable enough to actually talk about them... or would she just keep hinting she Knows About Them.
hammer, I had a lyre."
It was humorous to him β at least the image of himself as a musician instead of what he was now. ;;
"No, we can't..."
He pauses, chuckling softly to himself again, "... but what if I were a bard instead? Much would be different, wouldn't you say?"
Playing an instrument was something he wanted to do, though he knew he had no talent for it.
"... instead of taking up a +
that gets a quiet giggle out of her.
she turns back to his blurred silhouette. she seems a little more at peace and grounded herself. not quite as scatter-brained or stuck in thought.
β .. I suppose it does, yes.β
she is far, far from perfect. β
"It's what makes us all human, the imperfections."
He remained grounded. Better that way for him. ;;
"If it makes you feel any better, I can't play it neither. I'm only good at sewing and fighting."
Rav chuckles softly, "I'd make very loud squeak noises. Hurt the ears."
He taps his ear with another low chuckle. Even someone like him wasn't good at everything.
+
β .. sometimes, as I painted. or quiet nights like this.

so the page is as much a comfort as it is a harsh reminder.
a soft exhale.
βI tried once. he told me .. a land octopus could do better.β she smiles a little.
Keeping pace around the capital, watching out for rogue knights, it gives her good opportunity to reminisce on the old days. When she was a captain herself.
Though a part of her mind is still occupied by the search for Vel. Can't leave him lost here, after all.
"You've never told me..." shaking his head, Rav looks at her.
She barely spoke of him during their travels at first. It was something he knew was hard for her to speak on, so he never would pry. ;;
"Did he play it often...?"
May as well ask now, since it was brought up... ;;
βstrangely peaceful, isnβt it ?β
the world is quiet for just a moment, late at night. so rare in lands like this.
she breathes in. she debates joining him, but stays for now, still looking out of the window. thereβs silence.
β β¦. my brother used to play. have I told you ?β β
There was always some sort of music playing. either it be day or nightβ
Tonight, only the flute was heard.
Different from the usual horns. ;;
"well... you're right." He smiles slightly, nodding to himself. Rav moves away from the window, finding a place to sit instead.
Once he sat on one of the spare beds, he took a deep breath and exhaled tiredly. ;;
"... it's a nice night. quiet for the most part."
+
βramble all youβd like. one of us must.β
a slight smile, that eventually wanes. she keeps her voice quiet, to match the overall mood and time.
β β¦ you canβt do it all yourself. you canβt weed them all out, either. mm .. at least not so quick.
.. breathe. rest. β
reel back a little. ;;
"Sorry, I'm rambling again."
"It's a bit too late." He chuckles softly under his breath. Of course he would worry.
He always worries.
"... but I have Naeva to keep watch on some of them. Just in case... it leaves me with some room to breathe."
He pauses, listening to the flutist. He let himself +
she sighs, leaning her head back against the wall. she follows his gaze, at nothing.
whatever might have happened was prevented; but she doesnβt think thatβd change anything.
β .. maybe not. bad men hide in plain sight.
β¦ donβt make yourself sick about it.β
"Much troubles me, lately."
Crossing his arms, he looks out the window from the side, making sure not to draw any attention to himself. ;;
"... after word of what had happened to you, I can no longer trust my own knights."
Even if it were one, he knows there's more... ;;
β .. not easily, no.β
she turns a tired gaze from beyond the window to him. β .. and you ? does something trouble you ?β
"... can't sleep either?"
He sighs under his breath, walking near the window to lean against the wall. Time to finally let his guard down and relax. ;;
sitting across an open window sill, legs crossed. she canβt sleep, so she is listening to the flutist play outside.
β¦ it reminds her of her brother.
"... and that's enough work for you."
Rav sighs, picking up the watering can first. second, he scoops her up in his arms. If he were caught now, he could easily say she just needed the extra help.
"What have I told you about working beyond your capabilities, Lucy?"
Lucille leaned against him, already feeling much better with his presence.
"I'll be okay... just let me finish a few more flowers near to fountain..."
Feeling faint, she only leans against him more, dropping the watering can.
She needed to lay down and restβ
