Your sand wedge and lob wedge don't have to match.

Beyond loft, they can give you different ways to handle the ground.

More sole and bounce for soft sand. More relief for opening the face on firm lies.

Two wedges. Two options when the lie changes.

Rusty wedges look cool. But rust itself is not what creates spin.

MyGolfSpy tested clean raw, naturally rusted and heavily rusted wedges. Only 100 to 200 rpm separated them, and the clean face spun slightly more.

Grooves and face texture are the technology. Rust is not.

Yep, the Spinner is designed specifically for wedges. At 128g it’s close in weight to standard DG, but built with wedge spin and control in mind.

If you got fitted for both and like the results, I wouldn’t sweat the jump from $-Taper Lite. Different jobs can suit different shafts 🤝

You got fitted for your irons. But what about the shafts in your wedges?

A 95g iron shaft to a 127g wedge shaft is a 32g jump in raw weight.

That isn't automatically a problem. But “wedge flex” alone doesn't tell you what you're getting.

Your fitting shouldn't stop at the PW

All four U.S. pairings this afternoon normally play different golf balls. Different brands, too.

In foursomes, they share one ball on each hole.

That means hitting shots with a ball you didn't build your usual setup around.

An equipment detail worth watching. Looks like it's working so far though 🤷‍♂️

But what comes before the 52?

These six iron sets have pitching wedges at 45° or 46°. Your biggest loft gap is right where the irons meet the wedges.

I played with a 6 degree gap between PW and 52 degree for years! Changing it changed my game 😅
