Cancer Cases Outpacing RT Capacity
DIRAC (IAEA) &GLOBOCAN (IARC) show a critical trend:
Although investments in RT infrastructure are increasing, the incidence of cancer is growing at a much faster rate, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.

But the distribution is deeply unequal:

🔹 In high-income countries: 1 machine serves ~130,600 people
🔹 In low-income countries: 1 machine serves over 1.4 million

This stark contrast underscores the urgent need to bridge the global gap in cancer care access.
