@Kweyyy I highly doubt that, the NBA (the league and the players) was very explicit in their support for the Black Lives Matter movement. I was expecting something like that again this time around
Genuine question, why aren't NBA athletes protesting against ICE? We only got two coaches speaking out on what's going on recently, as far as I know
Am I missing something or are they just silent?
@GrimyRannarr Definitely check out Adega Leonor on Jardim da Cordoaria. Pints used to cost 2€ or something cheap like that. Jardim do Morro is a popular sunset spot, but I have never been there
Trans women belong in ESL Impact.
The point of ESL Impact is to provide a place for competition to women where they won't be constantly challenged and criticized purely on the basis of their gender. The barriers to competition are not biological. They're societal and situational. The barrier is the fact that any young girl trying to play CS is going to encounter such a barrage of hate and misery simply for the sound of their voice that the vast majority will turn away from the game instead of enduring. The barrier is that in order to get a shot in a competitive team in ECL, Advanced, Main, really any level of serious competition a woman will need to go above and beyond what would be asked of their peers to overcome bias.
These biases and barriers exist for trans women just the same as they do for cis women. Our scene is stronger and more vibrant the more representation and opportunity we have. Let's keep building on that.
Had a long conversation with @RyanAtRBM late last year, about Dust2, money, work addiction, hostile readers and major retraction-worthy mistakes.
Ryan was really very candid — which I appreciate.
The recent news of @RyanAtRBM's layoff and https://t.co/4Ik25IcjIL' future project as a company-owned website came as a shock to me. As such, December will be my last month as a @dust2us writer.
@MnmzzzCS@RyanAtRBM@dust2us Thank you for everything, Jeff! You helped me a lot, and getting to work with you in Cologne was an experience of a lifetime.
@ParksCasts@RyanAtRBM@dust2us Thank you, Scott! It was an honor meeting you and experiencing an event with you and the guys. I know Impact coverage is in good hands with all you have been doing
Tomorrow will be my last day @dust2us
Was a pleasure writing for the site, attending events, and running Dust2us' socials. Had an absolute blast with @RyanAtRBM, @MnmzzzCS, @GoncOak, @counterscottGO, and anyone and everyone else I worked with these past 2.5 years.
I have kind of let podcasting fall by the wayside in recent months due to work commitments and travel, but it's something I absolutely love doing and want to get back into.
With my schedule opening up I am available if anyone needs a guest for podcasts in the coming months.
@RyanAtRBM Thank you for giving me the platform to do so. You were a great boss, colleague, friend, and person to hang around (online) everyday. Thank you for making me better, boss
Ryan and Jeff are two of the best personalities in NACS and two of the most important people in my life, it's just sad to see them (and the rest of the team) getting screwed over by things out of their control. These people worked tirelessly every day and deserve much much better
