This theory has been disproven.
-The game is on its "last days"
-The momentum tweet became a meme due to the lack of higher ups noticing the "hype" (refer to previous point for clarification)
-DMG vagueness and lack of communication has given backlash.
This is a JOKE BTW...
Ive had this theory for a few years that sometimes dmg posts vague stuff to get the community hyped and stirred up so that higher ups notice and feel pressure to deliver a bit more
The momentum thing, team is jamming, guardians make their own fate, now this?
Rallying the troops
WHY COULDNT THEY HAVE MADE THE CHOICE WHETHER OR NOT TO STOP DEVELOPING THE GAME AFTER THIS UPDATE IT IS UNIRONICALLY THE BEST UPDATE WE HAVE HAD IN THE PAST 2 YEARS AND ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE
Looking at these idiots -both sides- is fucking HILARIOUS!
Do i like D2? Yep, Do I like Marathon? Yep.
I'll just point and laugh at these monkey behaving humans.
I hate drama but this is comedy at its finest. Thanks for the laughs streamers!
Next tweet! Next tweet!
To quote @Aztecross but switching Destiny and Marathon.
“I don’t want to play Destiny… I want Marathon… and if Destiny, if I have to f’n bury you myself to send that message, I shall. I will do everything I can to destroy you, pee on your corpse and light you on fire”
Rather than working together yall wanted this to be a war between Marathon and Destiny.
On that note, I have privated 10 years of Destiny Lore videos. Good luck with a cohesive story if D3 ever happens. It aint in the game, its not in the studio (because it was vaulted). Better not piss off Byf, he is the last source of comprehensive lore.
Let me be honest here. Destiny 3. Do I want it? Yes. Is it gonna happen? Not sure. But, the important thing here. Do I trust the people at Bungie after all these -tyring- years? Nope. An empathic no. I used to but, not anymore.
Leaderless, gutless and utterly missguided.
Destiny fans might not wanna hear it, but if you really want to see Bungie get a greenlight for Destiny 3 you should maybe support Marathon as opposed to shitting on it and review bombing it.

For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2.
As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio.
Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to.
We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us.
From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.
Things to do.
-Find a group to play DnD (and learn how to play).
-Buy Trench Crusade and Warhammer 40K "packages".
-Find a group to play T.C. and/or Warhammer.
-Play.
I've been playing Warframe lately due to the current -years now- of aimless and meaningless Destiny content.
I was called me a "Destiny Refugee". I was like l, THAT is a perfect definition/name.
With the leadership, devs and narrative people nuking the game.
BUT wow! It's fun!
