we have ads in all our apps, we bought allll the way in to the free trial scam, and now we let poor people lease phones and wash our hands of the consequences. we might make premium products, but we ain’t a premium company.
anyone remember when “product knowledge” and informing customers about tech were parts of the job? i’ve wasted my time making 3 keynotes about lesser-known features of the new stuff for DLs, but instead we talk about how to add accessories to gift purchases.
@LindaLominger oh, we have pro maxes to sell most days. they just get bought by the same money laund—uh, ENTHUSIASTS 20 minutes after we receive them every day.
It’s probably a good thing that I’m not in the Bar anymore, because I’m at the point where I will ABSOLUTELY delete FOX News and OANN etc. off strangers’ phones while they watch.
@MTGGoldfish#mtgfishmail Aren’t mechanically-unique serialized cards the next logical step for WotC/Hasbro? They’ll say “100 unique cards won’t effect tournaments really!” and we already saw Nexus of Fate and Kenrith bring eyeballs to sets. I think it’s coming.
@RealMikeWilbon Hi Mr. Wilbon, I hope this reaches you ok. I’m writing a Masters linguistics thesis on the phenomenon that you’ve described as “Simon-Cowellification” and I would be incredibly grateful if I could get your “definition” of it. Thank you so much!
@lionseyeapp hello! Just got the app and I like it a lot so far. I feel like I’m having to very clumsily add cards to a deck AND the collection. There must be a way to do it from the Deck screen, yeah? Or a way to add a card in the deck list to the collection?
@MTGGoldfish#mtgfishmail I feel like WotC is more and more designing cards with digital in mind: copy tokens of DFCs; Body of Research; “secrets” like A Killer Among Us in Standard; etc. I don’t see this as a good thing, but what are your thoughts?
@elliottdottxt Jfc people are so dumb these days. EVERYONE who wanted to draw like their favorite manga and comic artists started by tracing Sonic or Goku or whatever.
