@JoeMSonntag1 @SaltyDraws So excited for the black album.I bought the cassette tape. I ran outside the mall to put it in my tape deck in the car. My buddy was there. We listened to the whole thing and said to each other, maybe it’s 1 of those albums you have to listen to more than once to like.

It was a massive turning point for the band, shifting them from thrash metal icons into MAINSTREAM SUPERSTARS with tracks like Enter Sandman,Sad but True,and Nothing Else Matters.

@JoeMSonntag1 @SaltyDraws The black album was awful. It catered to non metal jocks who thought they were cool. It opened their new music up to a huge audience that never would’ve liked them had they continued on with music like their first 3 albums.
