@TradeMemorial Hi. We know that Arthur enlisted into the Army in Goole in late August or early September 1914, which is recorded in the Goole Times. The only other information we have is from the Hull Daily Mail dated 3/10/1917 - attached.

In memory of the 16 people of Goole who died 108 years ago when Zeppelin L9 bombed the town. In just over 5 minutes at approximately 11.10pm around 60 bombs were dropped causing fright, injury, damage to property and death.

Members today were in attendance of the unveiling of the new memorial bench in Goole Cenotaph Gardens. The service remembered Alfred Axup who is named on Goole Cenotaph and died of his wounds 106 years ago today. Our thanks to the Goole and Howden Branch RBL. @PoppyLegion
