Back in 2014, there was a man who was already aware of the irregularities involving Manchester City. That man now runs FIFA. The infamous Gianni Infantino, then UEFA General Secretary, abused his authority, shared confidential documents and, in short, outmanoeuvred the Investigatory Chamber, doing everything in his power to ensure that both Manchester City and PSG would merely receive a fine, avoiding a deeper investigation that could have led to a Champions League ban. All of these details were also revealed through Football Leaks.
Given his actions as UEFA General Secretary and, more recently, as FIFA President, I can only say, in my humble opinion, that Gianni Infantino has become a cancer on football and should have no place in the future of the game.
Manchester United lost out on three Premier League titles to this disgrace. So did Liverpool. Arsenal missed out on two. Tottenham missed Champions League qualification five times. Arsenal three times. Leicester twice. Manchester United & Liverpool once.
Inter, Tottenham, Villa, Sunderland, Watford, Stoke, all denied a fairytale chance at European or domestic glory. How many clubs trajectories were changed irrevocably because of City's arrogance to cheat so brazenly no matter the collateral damage?
There has been 35 seasons of the Premier League, City's cheating leaves a mark on 18 of them. More than half the history stained with their disgrace. How can they even be allowed to continue playing the rest of the season amidst all of this?
Seriously though, if they’re willing to cook the books for £900m worth of inflated sponsorships, what else were they willing to do to get an edge? I’d be interested in an investigation into the Premier League Refs that do exhibition games over in Abu Dhabi.
A technical area yellow for Arteta, denying Arsenal a corner before half, Sunderland taking five minutes per throw-in, phantom penalty on a shirt pull ... from Ballard. You'll rarely witness such committed #NarrativeRefereeing.

@_PhilCosta First of all, hope you’re feeling better! Secondly, I read it a bit differently- we’re the 3rd option here. Too much eggs in the Vini basket.
Genuinely what can you do as a club to compete with level of careless and carefree spending?
Haven’t finished 1st in the Premier League for two years straight & haven’t made it past the round of 16 in the Champions League in that same time space. All whilst having one of the highest paid squads in Europe…
They will continue to destroy the market and spend carelessly until there is an outcome on 115.
2 - Mikel Merino is the first player in FIFA World Cup history to score the winning goal in two different knockout stage matches as a substitute.
Dependable.
That’s a penalty, the referee has been so bias since he blew the halftime whistle before Arsenal’s corner.
Every 50/50 ball, he blows in PSG’s advantage.
It was a relatively compact Premier League this season.
When comparing the points won by teams in each position to the average from the previous 30 seasons (since the competition became 20 teams), the top eight all won fewer, while ninth to 18th all won more.
1 - Since the start of the 2022-23 season, Arsenal have won more @premierleague points (332) and spent more days top of the table (562) than any other team. Standards.
🚨📊| THE STAT THAT DEFINES ARSENAL'S TITLE-WINNING SEASON.🏆
Across 61 matches in all competitions, Arsenal have been behind for just 403 minutes.
That's it.
To put that into perspective, the Gunners have played 5,490 minutes of football this season and spent only 7.3% of that time trailing.
Even more astonishing?
▫️ Arsenal have trailed by 2+ goals for just 26 minutes ALL SEASON.
Those 26 minutes came in the Carabao Cup Final.
Not in the Premier League.
Not in the Champions League.
Not across a gruelling 61-game campaign.
Just 26 minutes.
In the Premier League, Arsenal have spent only 8.6% of match time behind on the scoreboard, the second-best record in the division.
This is what elite control looks like.
While other teams rely on comebacks, chaos and moments of magic, Arsenal's dominance starts much earlier:
🔸 Rarely fall behind
🔸 Rarely lose control of games
🔸 Relentless defensive structure
🔸Elite game management
🔸 Consistent for 90 minutes
The biggest compliment you can give Mikel Arteta's Arsenal isn't that they win.
It's that they almost never allow opponents to dictate terms.
For years, critics said Arsenal lacked mentality.
Now they're one of the hardest teams in Europe to put behind, let alone beat.
This isn't luck.
This is coaching.
This is structure.
This is control.
This is a champion's mentality. 🏆
We dont love Arteta enough.
When the behind the scenes footage drops, you will understand.
That AI song? Haha just wait.
He gave us our Arsenal back.
I will always go to war for that man.
