@martin_periard That's the West Pier, built in 1866. By 1975 was falling apart. In 2002-3 a storm destroyed much, then two fires took the rest.

I run past it regularly & had thought about swimming out & around it. Turns out to be dangerous because of the debris, so not allowed. I trot on. ☺️
