This is not true. There are currently 6 hospitals being refurbished. 38 further hospitals have been given funding to plan the improvements but are not allowed to build anything.

Have you ever considered that some children with sensory difficulties may not necessarily be avoiding an acitivity because of the way it makes them feel, but it's the space they are doing it in that they are trying to avoid?

If school is safe and they can take regular sensory breaks, they are more likely to feel safe to attend.

Good blend of OTs with experience and some relatively new to adaptations.

We covered two half-day modules; Reading and Using Plans and Bathroom Adaptation and Design.

Very often there is so much emphasis on sensory integration and if plans do not work, a person can be left and deemed 'untreatable'.

You cannot treat autism, but you can help a person manage their difficulties that prevent accessing activities of daily living. Please pass on
