During raids on factories in Roodepoort and Johannesburg this week, 54 undocumented foreign nationals were taken into custody by the Department of Home Affairs, SAPS, and City of Johannesburg officials.

Most of the people detained at a steel manufacturing facility in Roodepoort were Malawians, but there were also people from China and Zimbabwe. According to Deputy Minister Njabulo Nzuza, employers were also the target of the operation.

The Africa2Moon project will travel aboard China's Chang'e 8 lunar lander and deploy small South African built spheres called B.A.L.L.S. on the Moon's surface.

These devices will create the world's first low frequency radio telescope array on the Moon, allowing scientists to study radio signals below 10 MHz that cannot be detected from Earth because of the Earth's atmosphere.
