When local radio was dismantled, deinvested & hollowed out by the senior leaders, they did not care about listeners thoughts, feelings & the benefits that local radio provides. @MartinSLewis Since the BBC’s self inflicted vandalism of BBC Local Radio i have ceased listening to BBC Radio, don’t watch any of their TV programmes, but do occasionally use their website for sports scores. grudgingly so. The BBC can’t help but keep shooting themselves in the foot.

@PaulRowleyRadio I’ve Given up on BBC local radio and BBC SOunds following the disasterous recent decisions to weaken Local radio. reduce investment = Lose listeners = Reduce Investment = Lose listeners….repeat until gone.

@TheOfficialJVS @BBC3CR @BBCSounds Congrats JVS. There is though a major however. Many other fantastic and hugely popular BBC Local radio shows with amazing presenters (Allan Beswick, Linda Mcdermott John Gilmore BBc Lancashire) were lost in the mass radio cull. It is now far easier to rise to the top.

@trevjrho @BBCNWT You will be lucky for any kind of decision or plan to resolve this Trevor. Most new leaders or senior managers have a ‘first 100 days’ action plan. It shows intent, creates immediate momentum and builds confidence. i have seen little evidence of any such intent.
