WHERE DOES CONFIDENCE COME FROM?
Dr Anne Lord Bailey worked hard on obtaining the skills necessary to compete in the Worlds Toughest Race. But what happens when your competence is greater than your confidence?
Listen to Tales of Toughness wherever you find podcasts!
Dr. Anne Lord Bailey started as a training partner for Gretchen on Team Unbroken... then moved to TAC... then to a competing member of the team. She balanced the duel role of facilitating communication with Gretchen and her own personal management of Type 1 diabetes.
HOW DO YOU ACCEPT HELP?
Travis and Shane and Danelle had to work as a team to support Mark, they had to lean on each other, the kindness of the Fijians, and other teams as they charted new waters with Mark in the Worlds Toughest Race.
EcoChallenge is hard enough for teams with 4 young strong members, but sometimes it's the adversity that allows for the most growth. Travis and Mark experienced what it was like to shift the roles of son and father and Team Endure did just that.

Today’s guest is the 200-mile run specialist Sylvia Greer. She’d never done adventure racing prior to #EcoChallengeFiji but she’s one #toughchick who gave me a TON of motivation during the race.
