@xonphused Jerusalem and the 2nd temple were completely destroyed by Rome. Just as Christ predicted. That’s why you see the dome of the rock on top of the old temple site.

@xonphused Christ came back in Judgement against Jerusalem in 70 AD. Just like he promised in Matthew 24. It also recorded in history by Josephus & Tacitus. So that is why many of Christians are still waiting.

I appreciate that emphasis on reconciliation. What I struggle with is understanding what Christ’s victory accomplished and what you believe remains unfinished. If the cross broke the power of sin and death, what does that mean for us now? And how do we establish from the text which promises are fulfilled and which are still “not yet”?
