I shan’t dwell on the matter for long, but I’m proud of the young men you’ve all become.
Now, for my first duty as your newest crime-fighting associate… I shall prepare dinner.
You don’t have to wear a suit or scale buildings to be a hero Alfred. You and Bruce were there for me through everything. I owe you the world for that.
Besides. You make one hell of a good butler. And you know.. kind like a grandfather in a certain way.
I fear my days of throwing myself off buildings with nary a grapple hook for safety are long behind me, Master Dick. But I am honoured to work alongside you in a somewhat more remote manner.
Yeah, I suppose so. I love all my friends and partners on patrol. Every single on is different yet my personality seems to bounce off of them all just fine.
I think me and you even make a great duo Alfred!!
Master Dick, that you have so many partnerships is testament to your skill with people as much as your skill as Nightwing.
Might I be so bold to suggest instead of a competition, you consider that each has its own strengths and weaknesses. The ‘best’ duo is situation specific.
Out of curiosity. I have a lot of known duos. I am paired with Jason, Damian, sometimes Tim. Wally. Roy. Star.

Which one is the best guys?
@SomberVigilante “Then I will keep my eyes on the Batcomputer, should you require any assistance in your endeavours.”
Eyes watched as Bruce pulled the tray over.
“Why the museum in particular?”
“Indeed, I didn’t. Just as you didn’t have to dress as a bat and take on the villains of Gotham tonight.
Yet as you are compelled to look after the city, I am compelled to look after you.”
Gives a small nod at the tray. “You will be much more effective if fuelled correctly.”
He glances away from his screen for just a moment, the food Alfred has prepared sitting beside him on the tray.
“You didn’t have to do that.” Bruce says, looking back to his screen.
“I rather think Ms Kondo and I would strike up quite the rapport. I’m sure we would be able to find much common ground in our pursuit of top class housekeeping.
The Batcave, however, has much that does quite the opposite of sparking joy. I believe enkindles pain is more apt.”
@EndOfCrime The true criminal power in Gotham is not held by thugs in the street but by those who sit behind alibis, corrupt officials and other obfuscations. Fists may hurt them physically but it matters not a jot to their empire.
Thus crime must be fought as the myth of The Bat and as —
@EndOfCrime Not every criminal in Gotham requires fear and fists.
A carefully placed word here, movement of stocks and assets there and other well manoeuvred business dealings can have a much more significant impact on the power-brokers.
There are fresh croissants and juice for breakfast.
