Those who are still in doubt Governor Seyi Makinde's plot to remove the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rahidi Adewolu Ladoja, should just keep their fingers crossed and follow unfolding events.

Recall that they denied any rift between Olubadan and Makinde after my making same public.

But now, they are accusing the Olubadan of plotting to impeach Governor Makinde. They are also releasing statements accusing the Olubadan of being partisan.

These are parts of the orchestration by Makinde to prepare grounds for the Olubadan to be queried for being partisan.

I heard reliably that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State is plotting the removal of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rahidi Adewolu Ladoja.

The plot is to commence this week, with Government Query to be issued against the Olubadan, citing his absence at the failed coronation of High Chiefs in Ibadanland two weeks ago, and other allegations.

As for us, we will be watching the Sìgìdì of Seyi Makinde tó fẹ́ se eré ẹ̀tẹ́...

I saw the response of one Paul Ibe, one of the Media Aides to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, to my release on what transpired at his (Atiku) meeting in Minna, with Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, and I can't but be amused.

However, because of my respect for Atiku, I will want to assume that he did not authorise the press statement and I will expect that after seeing it, he will within 48 hours, cause a rebuttal to be issued on it.

Should Atiku not publicly disown the statement within the next 48 hours, I will have no option but to spill more beans (the facilitors and executioners) of the Minna meeting, particularly what was said about Wike) and by then, I will be doing so without any atom of respect for him.

Till then, we keep our gunpowder dry.

Between Atiku and Makinde, Untold Story of What Happened in Minna Yesterday

It is no longer news that the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, went to Minna, Niger State, yesterday to hold a meeting with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Here is what happened behind the curtains.

Venue and personalities involved in the meeting was carefully chosen so as to ensure confidence and acceptability.

Consideration was given to the fact that Peter Obi will not accept to be Atiku's running mate and he won't also be acceptable to the North, as Atiku's successor.

Also, Atiku is 70% certain of getting the ADC ticket, having ensured the non-zoning of the party’s presidential ticket.

Makinde agreed to join ADC on the condition that he will be handed the party’s Vice Presidential ticket, as Atiku's running mate. This is expected to be presented to Atiku’s inner caucus for further discussions and ratification.

Makinde offered to make available a sum of N10bn (to be released in two tranches), as his initial contribution towards what he called "proper take-off of the ADC," and make additional funds available when campaign begins.

The Governor also assured that for the ADC primary, he will deliver the Southwest delegates and use the influence of wife, who is from Rivers State to secure delegate votes in the South-South.

He posited that for the general election, using him to divide the Southwest votes will give the ADC the needed advantage.

Follow up meeting has been fixed for Dubai, UAE within the next two weeks.

Makinde Turning Emergency Opposition Mouthpiece Because President Tinubu Rejected Him

That Seyi Makinde's derogatory comment against President Tinubu at Osinbajo's birthday further confirmed that he got a cold shoulder from the President during his last visit to the Villa.

Like I made public, in his attempt to do a damage control on his public speech against the President, Makinde met the shock of his political life when he visited Asiwaju last week.

It is now obvious that after getting that cold shoulder from thePresident, Makinde must have realized that end of road has come in terms of reconciliation between him and the President. This is moreso that the Asiwaju made it clear that as far as Oyo State is concerned, he will support his party’s candidates in 2027.

The emergency opposition mouthpiece Makinde is trying albeit unsuccessfully to turn himself to is an aftermath the response he got from the President last week, which I made public.

Furthermore, it has vindicated me because if Makinde had gotten a soft-landing that he expected from the President, he (Makinde) wouldn't have gone to make that statement, condemning the Government of President Tinubu, by calling the President a dictator while praising the Buhari's administration.

With this assurances too, the APC in Oyo State should now wake up and slug it out with Makinde's candidate, which he will field under the ADC, knowing full well that PDP won't be open for him to use.

Untold story of what happened in the Villa during Governor Makinde's Visit to the President today

Here is the true story of what happened in the Villa when Governor Seyi Makinde visited the President today.

First, Governor Seyi Makinde demonstrated that he now lacked enough courage to face the President alone, he had to enlist the support of the Plateau State Governor.

The President told him that if it was about official matters regarding Oyo State, he will listen to him.

But if it had to with politics and any claim that it was Wike that angered him to go on TV to accuse him (President) of plotting to turn the country to a one party state, it is better to as usual, go on TV to say all he (Makinde) had to say.

He was told pointedly that he can't come to the closet on political matters to eat his words, while saying another thing to the public.

Furthermore, the President told Governor Makinde that he was not expecting any support from him regarding 2027, and that he should also expect that he (President) will support his party.

Lastly, the President made it clear to Makinde that Wike is someone whose support and consistency he (President) can't deny or wished away. Therefore, if Makinde has issues with Wike, that is between the two of them, I should be left out of it.

That's why Makinde told the press that he's comfortable in PDP. It's because of the reality that there's nothing for him in APC.

And after this meeting, shouldn't Makinde tell the people of Oyo State if he has returned the N30bn he admitted to have received from the Federal Government as intervention fund for the January 2023 Ibadan explosion?

I commend the Acting Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen Olufemi Oluyede, for acting swiftly on the viral video showing an Army Officer and two soldiers assaulting a man and woman in the Abuja.
His prompt action shows sensitivity to public outcry and I wish to say that he should go further by making the inquiry on the despicable act public so as to serve as deterrent to all uniform men that see their uniforms are object of oppression.
For me, without prejudice to the outcome of the inquiry, there should be no reason a man should be so assaulted in the presence of his wife and children as was done in that viral video.

Wike celebrates Fayose at 64, Says "He is a dependable ally"

Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike has extolled the virtues of the former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, describing him as a dependable ally, whose yes is yes, and no is no."

In a statement on Friday, by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, the FCT Minister, in his goodwill message to Fayose on his 64th birthday, described him as "a valuable friend and brother", who will never pretend about where he stands on issues.

The statement read; "I rejoice with my friend and brother, former Governor of Ekiti State, Peter Ayodele Fayose, Osokomole, on his attainment of 64 years on earth today, November 15, 2024.

"The attainment of this age is no doubt a confirmation of the grace the Almighty God has bestowed on him and a challenge for more service to our country, Nigeria.
