As we partner on areas such as rural healthcare, economic development, public safety and others, the Cherokee, Choctaw, Muscogee (Creek), Seminole and Chickasaw Nations are proud to continue ITC’s long history of tribal collaboration.
We appreciate, also, that time was taken to recognize and honor Governor Emeritus Bill Anoatubby’s many years of service to ITC and the lasting impact of his contributions to strengthen tribal sovereignty and promote increased inter-tribal cooperation.
Supporting the long-term success of Chickasaw youth and providing quality health services are both important priorities in our mission to enhance the overall quality of life of the Chickasaw people. It is exciting to see how nursing camp is working to fulfill both of those goals.
This summer, Chickasaw students are gaining valuable skills and hands-on experience through a variety of Chickasaw Nation camps, including exciting educational opportunities at our new nursing camp.
To provide youth with education and insight into the nursing profession, the new camp’s curriculum covers the use of medical equipment, tools and supplies, and teaches students through simulated healthcare events at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center in Ada.
Today marks 250 years of American independence. As we commemorate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, the Chickasaw Nation joins in celebrating this historic milestone.
We wish you and your family a happy and safe Fourth of July!
His leadership, experience and integrity will serve Chickasaws well in this important position. Please join me in congratulating Lt. Governor Wood as he steps into this vital and significant role.
Congratulations to Chickasaw Nation Lt. Governor Scott Wood. Lt. Governor Wood has dedicated many years of service to the Chickasaw people as a tribal legislator, demonstrating a strong commitment to the values, culture and future of the Chickasaw Nation.
We will continue investing in our people, strengthening our communities and ensuring that future generations inherit a Chickasaw Nation that is even stronger, more prosperous and better prepared to meet the challenges ahead.
The annual symposium continues to be a great forum for sharing information about the countless benefits of increased tribal sovereignty and exploring ways we can all work together to enhance the lives of tribal citizens and strengthen Oklahoma.
Congratulations to Governor Anoatubby on being honored at this year’s Sovereignty Symposium with a special award and key to the city presented by Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt.
It was a great recognition of Governor Anoatubby’s many years of servant leadership and his lasting impact. We appreciate Mayor Holt and everyone who took part in this year’s Sovereignty Symposium.
