Had a great visit to Vista Plains Health in Harlowton during my 56 County Tour. Thanks to @USDA Rural Development and community support, this facility received funding to help expand access to healthcare in rural Montana.

Montana is proud to be home to manufacturers like Allied Steel that create good, high-paying jobs in our rural communities. Enjoyed visiting the facility in Lewistown during my 56 County Tour to celebrate its recent $20 million expansion.

The Petroleum County Courthouse has been standing for over 100 years, and thanks to a Montana Historic Preservation Grant, the community has the support they need to help preserve and restore this important building for generations to come.

Enjoyed visiting Thompson River Lumber, a family-owned sawmill in Thompson Falls using innovative practices to support Montana’s wood products industry.

Today, @forestservice has filed a proposed rule to rescind the national 2001 Roadless Area Conservation Rule in its entirety.

For over 25 years, this rule has restricted road construction and limited the Forest Service's ability to carry out critical active management work within inventoried roadless area.

The rescission intends to prioritize local agency decision-making over regulatory rules that are the same across the country, regardless of specific land management issues and needs.
