This MES is the largest private-sector employer with over 9,600 employees in 2025 (i.e. 16.1% of the total).
The sector’s workforce is down by 12.4% compared to 2024, due to the completion of major projects in the Principality that affected temporary employment.
IMSEE has published its 2025 Focus on Professional, scientific and technical activities.
With 2,455 active establishments, this sector accounts for one in five entities in the Principality.
Turnover fell by 17.3% compared with 2024, reaching €2.9 billion, mainly due to the slowdown in the activity of construction economists following the completion of major projects in the Principality.
Employment nevertheless remains dynamic, with 4,652 employees (+5.5%).
