There has been a good tidy up at the #communityplot.
We have sorted all the plant pots and stored them away for now.
Last year’s manure collection is well composted too!

Plotholder Marie looking chuffed with her first crop of sweetcorn (which she most certainly should be as it is not easy to beat the squirrels!)

A big thank you to those members that support our Association with physical tasks to allow us to keep the allotment ground open and running.
Our mowing rota saw Neil sharing last Saturday’s mowing of the communal paths with Anthony.
Nadica offered to help weed the Rose border.
Thank you to those members who came along this morning to the maintenance group. A short session due to the downpour, but progress was made which is the main thing!

Thank you Solvi and Myco - the Manchester Mushroom Cooperative for the fantastic workshop. Fingers crossed our new mushroom logs will fruit for many years to come on the #communityplot#allotment#allotment#M41#community#urmston
Another fabulous plot transformation from new plotholder Nicky.

A big #thankyou to one of our plotholder’s David who moved these slabs to the new community build on plot 44 today.
Plot 44 will be our new #communityhub where we will erect a large communal pergola with seating and a communal polytunnel.

-Our members who have helped clear and plant the border - particularly our Chair Ian
Today at the #communityplot the manure delivery was delayed so we had fun sowing seeds, checking out the frogs and the progress at the strawberry bed and seeds (in the greenhouse) that were planted 2 weeks ago.
