The new Tesla Roadster reveal was the GREATEST product unveil of all time.
I was there on October 15, in a field at SpaceX in McGregor, outside Waco. Elon said he wanted real people in the crowd so nobody could claim the demo was AI. I was one of those people, with my phone out, jaws wide open, watching a Tesla do things I would have had a hard time believing if I hadn’t seen them myself.
To everyone who kept their reservation and waited through all these years, this night was for you. I know seeing the car do all of this doesn’t put it in your garage, but I hope you got to enjoy that moment as much as I did.
Huge shoutout to Elon and everyone at Tesla and SpaceX who worked on this car and made that night happen. The people designing it, building it, testing it and getting it ready for those demos deserve so much credit. Thank you for letting us be there to see it.
I’m grateful I got to witness this. And I cannot wait for the day I finally get behind the wheel of my own.

Custom orders of the Tesla Model S & X have come to an end. All that’s left are some in inventory.
We will have an official ceremony to mark the ending of an era. I love those cars.
This was me at production launch 14 years ago:
I’ll be honest, it’s getting harder and harder for me to understand why anyone, anywhere in the world, would choose a different ride-hailing service over a Tesla Robotaxi… especially once the Cybercab hits the streets.
At the end of the day, I'm a hardcore long-term investor and in order to be the best of the best, you have to find holes against your beliefs, and it's very hard to find one.
This car is a complete reset of what transportation is.
The Cybercab is designed from day one to be a fully autonomous ride-hailing AI machine.
There will be NO steering wheel, NO pedals, NO awkward small talk with a human... just a quiet, clean, personalized, futuristic space that shows up when you need it and takes you where you want to go, all for the most affordable price.
And the moment you step inside, the robot-on-wheels already knows you. Like your climate settings, your music, your lighting, your seat position, it’s tailored to be your ride, every single time.
This is what I believe every person really wants from a ride-hailing service:
• Safety
• Reliability
• Low cost
• No friction
• Clean vehicles
• Predictable experience
The Cybercab is built to deliver ALL OF THAT by design from day 1.
Bc this car is electric and incredibly efficient (targeting over 5.5 miles per kWh), operating costs are projected to be around $0.20-$0.40 per mile! This unlocks fare costs that human-driven services simply can’t compete with... there literally is no way.
Then, bc it’s fully autonomous, it can run 24/7, self-charge on wireless pads, and keep going without much downtime.
Also, bc it’s purpose-built, it has fewer parts, easier cleaning surfaces, and a minimalist interior that stays fresh ride after ride. It's very easy to clean, which I love!
And the absence of a driver to me is freedom bc there is no pressure to talk, no awkward tipping, no wondering who's driving me or whether he/she is intoxicated... it's quiet and predictable transport that feels safe and the same every time.
The wild thing is that this is only going to cost ~$30,000 for us consumers with Tesla aiming to build millions of these per year. This means owners will be able to add their car to the network and earn $ income 24/7, doing basically nothing. Cities roads will become safer, there will be less accidents, and fewer parking headaches. Transportation becomes significantly cheaper and more accessible worldwide, questioning the reason to even own a car for many.
This is why I struggle to imagine choosing anything else... I'm really trying to find out a reason why I'd take an Uber or Waymo and there really isn't a good reason anymore.
Once people experience lower prices, safer autonomy, personalized rides, consistent quality, no driver friction, zero emissions, futuristic design... it’s hard to see them going back to anything else.
I'm so bullish on Tesla Robotaxis... I get it when Elon tells me this is a $5-7 trillion opportunity for Tesla.
Tesla maintenance is refreshingly simple—no oil changes, no spark plugs, rare brake pad replacements thanks to regen braking.
