@TheYosemite_Sam @MartinSLewis If they are in a company pension, the company will match up to a certain amount, the company won’t pay into their ISA. So your idea is they lose money? Also pension payments come out before tax, reducing your taxable income! Still a stupid idea?

@MartinSLewis Martin, What are the rules on opening a joint savings account with my son and putting a largish amount in. If I live longer than 7 years is it then exempt from counting towards my estate and therefore Inheritance Tax? As it is joint, would he automaticallyinherit what was in it?

@MartinSLewis I’d refuse, say they have 10 days to agree to the original offer otherwise I’m walking away and if they come back after that, the price goes down £5000. Especially as a cash buyer with no chain, you hold most of the bargaining chips.

@gunsnrosesgirl3 Doesn’t say they need a torch to cross, just that only 2 can cross at any time. So C&D cross together without torch =7 mins, then A&B cross (4 Mins) so 11 mins in total.
