My first #WROTL session wasn't anything too glamorous in terms of results. 4, 2, 3, 1, 4, 3, 3, 4, 4.

But it was mostly bad luck and it's better to get the bad result first than to break a good streak with them!

Also got a neat damaten chiitoi baiman. Quite rare without riichi.

Ended up getting 3rd place!
Not fully satisfied with how I played due to the heat and tiredness, but I definitely enjoyed the high-level play, exciting game, and meeting fellow players again. Pleasant first visit to Romania. Until next time!

First day didn't go so well as I got a yakitori game and unlucky deal-ins. Luckily, I caught back up on the second day and ended up at rank 27/80. Not terrible. I think I made a total of two mistakes, one of which was punished. Otherwise solid play. Need to focus on oorasu more!

Passed the EMA referee exam today at Espoo! Tomorrow I'll be attending the Finnish Championship again. This will be the largest Finnish tournament to date, with 80 players.

Unfortunately I choked my last game due to a misjudgement, but I still ended up getting 2nd place out of 28 players. Fairly happy with the placement regardless.

Smaller 28-player tournament in Helsinki for a change! Off to a good start with 2., 1., 1.
Also tsumo'd a menhon suuankou in the second game. Probably my 4th tournament suuankou? I'm beginning to think these are much more common in irl games than online due to manual shuffling.
