Total Government Spending on IITs in 2026: $1.28 Billion
Total Government Spending on Freebies: $120 Billion
Stop asking why IITians are building America instead of India.
There is a difference between doing business and conducting diplomacy.
Recent developments over the last few days suggest the following:
Shortly after Elon Musk triggered a "Digital War" game, news broke that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is visiting Jamnagar.
Instead of heading to New Delhi, Rubio is traveling directly to Jamnagar, the very city synonymous with the Ambani family, which houses Reliance’s largest oil refinery and right as news of Marco Rubio’s arrival surfaced, Reliance officially welcomed Elon Musk’s Starlink to India. Is this merely a coincidence??
A sitting US Secretary of State visiting a private refinery in Jamnagar instead of holding talks with the Indian government in Delhi raises some serious questions. Energy policy is a matter of national interest, and such discussions should happen through the Indian government, not directly with a private company.
Recently, the Jio IPO launch has created much hype. Mukesh Ambani's Reliance may have its own commercial interests, but no private company, however powerful, should become the main channel through which a foreign government pursues its energy goals in India.
Oh no! I thought SpaceX and its Starlink division were private entities controlled operationally by Elon Musk! I thought they were independent of the US government!
What am I missing? Please enlighten me!
Dit is een Tesla batterij.
Om het te maken heb je nodig:
12 ton steen voor lithium
5 ton kobalt mineralen
3 ton mineraal voor nikkel
12 ton kopererts
Verplaats 250 ton grond om te verkrijgen:
12 kg lithium
30 pond stuivers
22 kg mangaan
15 pond kobalt
100 kg rammen
Not a single tweet when Trump illegally arrested the Venezuelan president.
Not a single tweet when Pakistani Muslim terrorists killed Hindus in Kashmir.
Say it openly, UN. You want to destabilise India so that we remain dependent on America instead of growing independently.
>No tweet on the Pahalgam terror attack.
>No tweet for Bangladeshi Hindu Chinmoy Krishna Das.
>No tweet on the Pakistani government's shoot-at-sight order against protesters, in which more than 30 protesters were killed.
>No tweet on a Sri Lankan man sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia over an ordinary Facebook comment.
Now you are talking about human rights over the mere detention of protesters in India.
Nobody gives a fk about your choli. You can wear a choli or go topless. We care a damn.
But Don't dare to use our festivals as your propaganda schemes and PR tools.
There is no free run now @kritisanon
You are being too clever by half, dear @elonmusk, and you know it.
Saying "11,256" villages sounds a lot. But it is a way of lying with numbers.
What if the handle had said, "1.7% of India's villages have no 4G coverage"?
That wouldn't fit the narrative, right?
And it only gets worse.
The post deliberately chooses "4G".
Why?
Do those villages not have access to 2G and 3G internet? Perhaps you know. The world's richest man who wants so desperately to enter the Indian market with satellite internet coverage should know, right?
You, who have talked about the 'Deep State' would know the perils that satellite can pose to national security. The terrorist attacks on Mumbai, better known as the "26/11 attacks", were facilitated, in part, by the use of satellite phones. The terrorists' handlers, sitting in Karachi, communicated with the terrorists using satellite phones and ordered them to kill as many people as they could, including Jews.
As for "oligarchs", well, you mean Mukesh Ambani (his mobile and internet company, Jio), yet hesitate to even taking his name. You, who didn't think twice before posting Trump's alleged links with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein!
I think that will go down well with most Indians, to see the world's richest man in fear of an Indian🙂
Which brings us to the elephant in the room - racism.
It would take a blind man on Pluto to not have seen the explosion of racist screeds and shitposting and ragebait content against Indians over the last year-and-a half on your platform, X.
Perhaps it got your platform more engagement. Perhaps this is what the MAGA gang wanted and you obliged to get back in Trump's good books.
Perhaps you didn't care about racism against Indians.
Perhaps you saw it as a bargaining chip in your negotiations with the Indian govt.
In either case, you don't have a lot of sympathy in India because of racism on your platform, Elon.
Please stop pretending that there isn't racism on X against Indians, or that you don't know about it.
Coming back to broadband coverage.
The areas that do not have adequate 4G and 5G coverage are Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, parts of Rajasthan that border Pakistan and which are sparsely populated, the Kutch region (also sparsely populated, what with the world's largest salt pans), Arunachal Pradesh, tracts that are either heavily forested or till recently had suffered from Naxal terrorism.
So, what exactly is your target market?
Offer satellite coverage in Arunachal Pradesh and China will cut off your businesses at the scrotum before you can say Tesla.
Or did you plan to make a killing selling satellite coverage at $50/month in Bihar and Jharkhand, where 4G and 5G plans cost $3/month?
Get honest. Get real.

“We are making money from the Ukraine war as NATO is buying our weapons.” - US President Trump
So, selling weapons to prolong the war is okay, but India purchasing oil for its 1.5 billion population's use is not?
This is what happens when ignorant politicians get elected.
This is a TV debate between physicist prof P. Ray of Jadavpur University and MLA Sajal Ghosh about the new bill which allows transfer of faculty members from one university to another. Prof Ray seems to have pointed out that building a functioning lab takes years and one has to bring in lab equipments from their own funds. Ghosh is countering with the following points:
1. How is this different from a doctor saying they have bought equipments and cannot move to a different hospital leaving those equipments
2. Does this mean you stop buying new equipments 5 years before retirement because you won't be able to use them
3. What if the lab produces "dimagi naxals" (I stopped listening at this point).
Clearly, Mr. Ghosh has no idea how long it takes to set up a lab, how science funding works and has not bothered to educate himself before coming to the debate. If he had, the result would have been less embarrassing.
I used to think these are extremely expensive and difficult tasks before these videos started showing up.
A couple of kids can solve this in 4 months. Amazing!
Isn't there some govt employee responsible for this stuff? What exactly is he doing?
