Grace Birk of Burlington (3A, 5-1) is a senior RHP and has started out strong for her senior season. She is 4-0 on the mound with 51 strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA. Birk is also batting .444 through the first 6 games of the season. As a junior Birk had 253 strikeouts on the year and a .947 ERA which both accounted for Burlington single season records. She also holds the Burlington career strikeout record with 535 and counting. Birk is a 2x SIK All-State pick and said, “This season we have a great group of girls that are striving to get better each day. We have gotten off to a great start and plan on taking it one game at a time!” She is committed to Northwestern State to continue her softball career. #sportsinkansas
