This can make a powerful team conversation too. Try introducing these two questions in your next team meeting:
What have been your proudest achievements this year (in work or in life)? And what qualities did you need to achieve them?
Did you know that as human beings we have on average three times more positive experiences than negative ones? It doesn’t always feel like that, though, does it?
That’s because we have two tendencies at play 👀👇
One way to counter this is to deliberately focus on what's going well. To intentionally savour and relive the positive experiences by writing them down or saying them out loud.
What are some of your best moments this year? Who have you shared them with?
How’s your December looking - is it a busy month for you or are you enjoying a slow and spacious wrapping up of the year?
If you’re frantically trying to get to the end of everything before year end - here’s your gentle reminder.
A 🧵
5️⃣ Does it have to be done now?
I know it’s doable. And so small, it’s tempting to do it now. Just to get it done. A quick win. An instant dopamine hit. It’s tempting but it's the kind of finish line that doesn't result in the satisfying ending we can rest our laurels on.
“I love leading people into and through change but when change happens to you it requires something different!”
This marked the start of a great conversation with Steve and his team on the brink of a big organisational change.
How do you and your team navigate change?
It’s Truth Tuesday! This is a wellbeing check-in we do every week as a team @thinkproductive.
This time of the year can be a heady mix of emotions and experiences: excitement, exhaustion, busy, empty, joy, dread...
Could you do with a check-in with your team?
Change is where the work is – and where the magic happens. Ready to talk about how we make that happen for your people?
Drop me a message and let’s chat!
“What do we do?”
This is often the question we ask in times of change and challenge.
But changing times require a change in thinking.
A more pivotal question is “How do we think?”
How we think can transform change and challenge from something we survive, into the place where we thrive, excel, lead, innovate and grow.
And what we do as a result becomes ultimately more inspired and impactful.
Do you have a habit of losing track of time?
If I’ve got a call coming up:
I open my Zoom room.
Carry on working with the sound ON.
When the person arrives, the Zoom doorbell rings.
I get pulled out of whatever I’m immersed in.
A tiny tweak but a game changer for being prepped!
