@DrEilidhMaria@MSH446 Eilidh it’s clear from your Twitter you enjoy publicly arguing on Twitter. I don’t. If you want to have a sensible conversation about this feel free to DM because what you’ve created from a simple question is bizarre
@MSH446@DrEilidhMaria I haven’t been given an answer to get upset about. It’s embarrassing you won’t answer and de-credits your responses.
Like I said, what people like you are doing to the wellbeing of PAs and ACPs is astonishing. I hope that you’re never made to feel how they do xo
@MSH446@DrEilidhMaria A this or that question, requires a this or that answer. Do you want chocolate or sweets? I’d like a packet of crisps to be available isn’t an answer. Yes I’d like a simple answer to a simple question.
Also you know I didn’t actually ask you in the first place right? 🙈
@MSH446@DrEilidhMaria Honestly the fact you won’t answer speaks VOLUMES. The fact that so many doctors are contributing to the hate against ACPs/PA hate is absurd.
I worked as a paramedic, dual paramedic day was great, but HAPPILY work with a Tech / ECA any day any time.
@MSH446@DrEilidhMaria If I rephrased my question I wouldn’t be asking the question I wanted to ask?
There’s a gap in the rota, no doctors have filled it, would you prefer a gap or PA\ACP? I’m not saying non doctor anymore, sounds like I’m asking if you want a plumber doing the take.
@DrEilidhMaria@MSH446 We both know that’s not the problem. lm totally engaged, which lead to me asking you a straight forward question which you were unable / unwilling to answer. The sad reality is that comes from the ‘dislike’ of PAs and ACPs.
@DrEilidhMaria This sounds like a problem with your trust - in a previous role I managed all on call rotas and ED rotas across 2 hospital sites. You can’t blame a problem with your trust on ‘non doctors’ am afraid. Still not answering my question …
@DrEilidhMaria Locum shifts do go out for it actually, any gaps on the rota will first go to locums nest, then ‘non doctors’ then other areas such as agencies etc. why won’t you answer my original question?
@DrEilidhMaria Because I quite often see doctors tweeting their concerns about rota gaps? So when no doctors are available is an MDT approach not the next best thing? Their Locum fill may be at capacity already? Not in the patients best interest to have a gap surely?
@DrEilidhMaria The result what still be the same? If no doctors sign up, a PA / ACP works the gap, within their scope of practice, paid at PA / ACP rate? Genuinely don’t understand the problem? Or would you rather there a gap? 1/2
Spent the day shadowing 999 call handlers to understand their role with @Ldn_Ambulance
The patience, professionalism and kindness they show when receiving quite the opposite is outstanding! Paramedic/manager for 7 years, I Wouldn’t last a day as a call handler. #amazingwork
@JEANGil12250102@tara_donnelly1 @StGeorgesTrust @TotterdellJac Our transfer of care team work incredibly hard to allow safe and efficient discharges. In cases where home isn’t the correct place we work with local authorities to arrange alternatives. Whatever is best for the patient
