@RealAirPower1 Mid-1950s, a pilot of VA-176 was flying back to the Randolph from Cuba after filling a converted drop tank with rum from the Bacardi distillery. Developing engine trouble, he all dropped externals except for the rum, and landed at the applause of every one who had pitched in!
