@exoromantist "When have you ever let Hell have what it wants, mon amour?"

Aidoneus stood beside her and looked down. The mechanisms underneath the arena remained; tunnels to get fighters, animals and others on stage. He set his hand on her back gently.

"You know I'll support you always."

[Aidoneus. @Graecula]

@exoromantist "My love, I think you still could be one if you really wanted to."

He would always support her, of course. The demigod gently squeezed her hand as they walked together.

Eventually, the path led out to the stands of the colosseum, overlooking the arena and its inner workings.

[Aidoneus. @Graecula]

@exoromantist "Hmm. I would be curious about the huge building in the middle of a field too, if I was them."

The demigod set his hand on her back and gently caressed up and down as if to soothe her.

"Enjoying yourself, aren't you, mon amour? You've got a glow in your eyes."

[Aidoneus. @Graecula]

@exoromantist "Of course. I didn't know there was so much to learn about the colosseum."

There would be many plaques and exhibits, dating all the way back to its construction. Of particular interest was the medieval period, where the colosseum's purpose had been lost to time.

[Aidoneus. @Graecula]

@exoromantist "Only because the structure wouldn't survive it, of course." He wasn't even joking.

But he followed her to the museum which was, expectedly, about the colosseum. It talked about its earliest days, and how it fell into obscurity, to the point no one knew what it was for...

@exoromantist They were inside the outer ring of the coliseum, going along the perimeter. Even so, they could catch glimpses of the arena through the gaps as they followed the crowd.

"Impressive, no?"

On the second floor, they even had a small museum with the history of the coliseum.

@exoromantist "Hmhmhm, considering how it started, I'm not surprised in the slightest..."

And how it was likely going to end, too. Aidoneus gave her hand a soft squeeze.

"But every day is good with you, mon amour."

The queue moved ahead and the two of them were let inside the mythical site.

@exoromantist "You know just how to sweet talk me, don't you, darling?"

The demigod smiled at his wife and gave her hands a gentle squeeze before following her to the line. It was a bit long, but it was moving rather quickly.

"We've got the Forum right beside us for afterwards, too..."

[Aidoneus. @Graecula]

@exoromantist "You're welcome, darling."

Aidoneus maintained perfect posture for her to position herself, though she would know this was far from the stiffest thing about him. He eased her down onto her feet and grinned at her.

"There's a bit of a queue, but should we try to get inside?"

[Aidoneus. @Graecula]

@exoromantist "It seems to me you can do both at once, beloved."

Aidoneus chuckled gently and then lowered himself to lift the exorcist into the air. It was effortless, of course; and she would feel his strong bicep against her skin as he did so.

"Got the angle you need, Elodie?"

[Aidoneus. @Graecula]

@exoromantist "Want me to lift you, Elodie?"

It would only take one arm from him to raise the exorcist so they could capture the monument in frame; and he never shied away from showing off his strength.

Whilst he didn't take a picture just yet, he did take it in, the majesty of the place.

@exoromantist + they would be met with the unmistakable sight of the Colosseum. It was even bigger in person; dominating the landscape, timeless as it had been two millennia ago.

@exoromantist "I'm looking forward to it. Can't go to Rome without some sightseeing, hm?"

Aidoneus set out with his beloved in tow and walked through the old, twisting streets of Rome with her...

Their journey was a pleasant one, even as busy as the city was during the day. Before long, +

@exoromantist "I think we should. And I can think of a couple other ways to convince you later..."

The demigod chuckled, the meaning behind his words obvious. He leaned in and laid a gentle kiss on her cheek, smiling.

"Where to next? Should we go see something big like the Colosseum, chou?"

[Aidoneus. @Graecula]

@exoromantist "When it comes to history, mon amour, we couldn't have picked a better location."

Indeed, Rome was modernity and history all mixed into one. On the same street, you could find a new building, right next to something from antiquity.

"All the more tempting to buy a house here..."

[Aidoneus. @Graecula]

@exoromantist + buildings inside the park. Museums, event halls, even a nursery for little ones whilst the parents walked.

@exoromantist "And we've got some pizza to walk off," he added with a slight chuckle... as if he had a single percent of body fat on him.

Either way, the demigod squeezed her hand and walked with her through the park. It was ample and shaded by trees as they walked, many eye-catching +

Aidoneus grinned at her in turn and glided his fingers along her arm before gently squeezing her hand. He could have looked into her eyes for eternity, but...

"Speaking of, we should keep enjoying our day. Shall we take a walk through the park, Elodie?"

[Aidoneus. @Graecula]

@exoromantist "Not even heaven or hell could come between us, darling."

Aidoneus raised her hand so he could lay a gentle kiss on the back of her palm, then leaned in for a proper kiss on the lips that lingered.

"--And I promise you that," he spoke against her lips.

@exoromantist "Of course I don't regret it."

Aidoneus wanted to quell any doubts as soon as they appeared and so he turned his head to kiss her cheek gently and squeezed her hand.

"I love you, Elodie. All the treasures in the world would be worthless if I couldn't share them with you."
