@PlagueTV Imo, I think trying to fight viewbotting is the wrong play. One company can't compete against everyone else. They will forever be applying power ranger bandaids to a gushing wound. Instead, they should work on other metrics to pay streamers. Making view counts mean less.

Big thanks to Blizzard for the key. #WoW_Partner#Midnight
@JEngle1212 I have been pretty good. Just working, video games and watching wrestling with my Dad. I finally took the leap and joined a GTARP server, so that is my newest obsession.
How about yourself? What's new?
For Content Creators:
What I am Keeping an eye on in 2025
1. Tiktok's legal deadline to divest (i.e. Sell TikTok U.S. to a U.S. business) is January 19th, Biden could extend this an additional 90 days (to late April). Donald has publicly stated that he would "save Tiktok in the U.S." but we have no idea what that means and if nothing changes Tiktok would likely stop operating in the U.S. in 2025 unless they find a U.S. buyer or if Donnie and Co. passes new legislation.
2. Brands are, and will continue to be, increasingly sensitive to adult and "political" content. I worry that it will not be obvious to creators that they are missing opportunities due to these two things as Brands will likely not reach out to begin with (as opposed to explicitly telling you that this is why they can't work with you).
3. A resurgence of inflation. This is particular hard on streamers (sub prices and payouts aren't indexed to inflation) and their viewers will have less discretionary income to spend. Its critical to invest your savings in index funds or at least money market products that tend to earn higher yields as the FED raises interest rates to slow inflation.
4. Conventions and their role in business development for streamers. I am questioning the value of attending TwitchCon and other events like PAX for creators. I am curious to see if creators continue to attend and if they are able to source enough new business at these events to justify their costs.
