The former downtown mall site in Sarnia has been sold to a Welland, ON residential real estate development company that is seeking input from residents about what kind of housing or commercial development is needed on the site.

One post rewritten. The young man who shot and killed David Oliver from the Kettle & Stony Point First Nation with a rifle while the pair were sharing a cannabis joint in their trucks had "a sudden feeling" to pick up the gun and shoot Oliver. He claimed no provocation.

Information from the undercover officer and DNA evidence helped in charging David Oliver's killer, court was told. He will be sentenced on Oct. 20.

After shooting David Oliver multiple times, the man convicted today wrapped his body in a tent and dragged it into the bush on the lands of the former army camp where First Nations protestor Dudley George was shot and killed by police during the #Ipperwash Crisis in the 90s.

The young man from London, ON, who killed David Oliver, said, said while confessing to police that he wanted to say he was sorry to Oliver's family and was upset his own daughter would grow up hating him. The man, a minor at the time, pleaded guilty to second degree murder.

The undercover officer even bought groceries for the shooter's family. Eventually he told the plant he was being investigated by police in David Oliver's death and was afraid of being given a polygraph test. The officer offered to find someone who could help him beat the test.
