@thechicoazul Convincing my wife that we simply had to spend a full day of our honeymoon in the pool with the mini bar’s contents because “we’re signing Zaha today” (meant nothing to her). Beer after beer the excitement grew.
Then the Iwobi news dropped…as well as everything else.
Roosevelt once said "The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done & self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it." Apart from the sexism he's absolutely right. 5 meddling years in, Moshiri should take note
There’s an irony IF Ancelotti goes back to Real Madrid to work for the man who masterminded the destruction of football, which Ancelotti himself vociferously condemned and wanted substantial punishments for those involved. But whatever.
@Shel_efc Massively disagree with this but with massive respect also. He’s not the right fit for the club where we are at, at the moment. He’s made to manage egos, not get the most out of workmanlike football players
@WelsbyElton I feel you’re right Elton. Are we overly upset by this? I’m not. Great manager but not what our club needs at the stage we are at. The fact that Godfrey and Doucoure were our best two players (Brands’ signings, not his) should tell us what we need to know
