@joni_askola I’m reminded of Macbeth’s soliloquy shortly before his death;
Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury
Signifying nothing.
Putin’s epitaph I hope.
@lmharpin Pass the sick bucket! Farage is a disgusting, gurning creep, and given any chance to sow hatred he will do so. The difference in the statements of Henry Novak’s father and Farage’s vile message is that between good and evil.

@DannyDrinksWine The start to Don’t Look Now is one the most powerful and psychologically acute (e.g. the reaction of the young boy) beginnings to any film I have seen. I think Kieslowski made use of the same imagery of spilt ink as a premonition of death in Dekalog #1.
@foldsproteinsII@JackMatherIRL Does this imply, that time is not a stream as we perceive it, but a series of episodes like a movie reel with each frame separated by a Planck second?
@mancunianmedic Speaking of people, who were not career politicians one should not forget Keir Starmer, who only became a MP in 2015, after an exemplary career first as a barrister specialising in human rights, and then as head of the DPP for which he was knighted.
