I’m always a bit confused by that kind of comment. Isn’t the reason that the top 5 to 10% are at the top 5 to 10% is because they often do things smarter than the rest of us?

Politicians love to garner votes by saying “the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer”.

Well aren’t they getting richer because they’re doing the same smart moneymaking activities that they were doing to get there in the first place and the rest of us are trying to figure it out still?

Or is it evil on its face?

Just trying to learn here.
