@sspeacock@SatDownSouth Just because someone was never convicted of something doesn’t mean it wasn’t true. This flag represents the blood spilled by hundreds of thousands of Americans. I’m done with this senseless conversation as it’s obvious your bias blinds you from the truth. Hold this L.
@sspeacock@SatDownSouth That was not the conclusion I came to. Many confederates were charged with treason but were presidentially pardoned. That doesn’t mean they didn’t commit the crime.
@sspeacock@SatDownSouth Also I don’t even understand why I acted like this was a semi reasonable statement. The Confederacy attacked a United States military base to start the war. There was no American invasion until rebels attacked Federal troops.
@sspeacock@SatDownSouth The North also wanted to move forward with reconstruction and in order to gain support they released confederate soldiers and leaders from treason charges.
@sspeacock@SatDownSouth Nobody actually was convicted for treason because of a number of factors. Andrew Johnson was thrust onto the scene by the untimely assassination of Lincoln who was from Tenn and held confederate sympathies.
@sspeacock@SatDownSouth Your flag is offensive for a variety of other reasons but also understand that you can’t be an American and support the Confederacy. The Confederacy killed more Americans that the USSR, Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, or Colonial Britain.
@sspeacock@SatDownSouth When the southern states succeeded from the Union they tore apart our nation. This rip would kill over 600,000 Americans roughly 2% of the United States population at the time. Compared to todays population 2% would be around 6.6 million people.
@iamhbaby@sixersjumper I’m a sixers fan from Missouri and Jontay was an amazing college player. Does everything on the court along with bringing energy. Also a great guy.
@QianLia89209052@JhewlettJ@van_gone_@NBA This might be the most brain dead comment of all time. We know it’s true because there are pictures and videos. There are satellite images of the concentration camps. Wake up.
